Program Eligibility Requirements
To participate, programs must:
Licensed or legally exempt from licensing
Provide care for children after school or on the weekends, holidays, or breaks during the regular school year
Provide organized, regularly scheduled activities
Include educational or enrichment activities, like arts and crafts, computer lessons, or homework help
Be located in a low income area

Participant Eligibility Requirements
Afterschool programs receive payments for serving nutritious meals to youth 18 and younger. FEEDING OUR FUTURE will have meals and snacks delivered to your site if you are not currently serving food.
CACFP meals give youth the nutrition they need as a routine part of their afterschool program. CACFP reimbursements help to lower the cost of serving meals at programs that provide enrichment activities to youth.

Daily Tasks
Each day your program must complete the following:
Keep accurate attendance records
Complete meal counts while the youth participants are eating
Record any menu changes

Monthly Tasks
Each month your program must complete the following:
Special Diet Statement/Milk Substitution
Post a dated menu
Submit claim information to FEEDING OUR FUTURE
Train new staff on the CACFP required elements and Civil Rights

Annual Tasks
Each year your program must complete the following:
Renew catering contract
Update purchasing procedures
Train staff on CACFP required elements and civil rights
Meal Patterns
Meals and Snacks Must Meet Basic Requirements


Lunch and Supper
All Lunches and Suppers Must Meet the Meal Pattern Requirements to be Reimbursable


Infants
Infants that attend Afterschool Meal Sites Must Meet the Meal Pattern Requirements to be Reimbursible
